A matric certificate and a 2 years experience as a driver trainer is what you need to apply for this position. You need to have good driving and communication skills. You must also be computer literate and be able to handle heavy duty vehicles.
Key Performance Areas |
Develop and implement bus driving training program;
Develop and implement driving and vehicle handling safety programs;
Evaluate driving performance of bus drivers;
Investigate bus drivers’ accidents;
Equip drivers on maintenance and road worthiness of heavy vehicle & equipment; and
Perform any other duty as may be asked by the Supervisor.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: Grade 12 Certificate (20 points / 5-subjects with an E-symbol in English.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Five (5) years practical driving experience of heavy-duty vehicles and two (2) years driver training in heavy vehicles.
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS: Driver’s licence – Code CE with a valid GP
PRE-APPOINTMENT TRAINING AS AN ADDED ADVANTAGE: Drivers instructor / trainer training.
KNOWLEGDE OF: Knowledge of applicable traffic laws and regulations, defensive driving practices, health and safety regulations.
SKILLS: Driving skills, good eye-coordination, good communication skills; Technical expertise required to efficiently interact with management and provide recommendations and requirements for legal compliance necessitates drivers qualifications; Interpersonal skills using patience; Handling of heavy vehicles & equipment; Proficiency in English, and computer literacy.
