Junior Legal Advisor – Internship

A position has arisen for an Intern in our legal department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for :

– Drafting Contracts according to contractual standards and conditions of the company.
– Incorporation of new entities.
– Drafting Legal reports.
– Supporting all departments in risk analysis in potential new projects.
– Carry out the preventive management of the legal risks.
– Give a legal response to actions of third parties (Subcontractors, Authorities, etc).
– Advise in the signing of contracts and agreements (Construction).
– Detect and provide information on the possible legal risks in the execution of the project/ Works to ensure their efficient development.
– Identify and propose the legal solution most suitable to each kind of problem by taking into account the reference frame defined by the laws in force and the customer necessities.
– Negotiate with third parties and/or legal representatives.

– Manage secretarial services and in charge of the secretarial services file.

Job Requirements:

The candidate should be a recent undergraduate degree graduate (BCom Law, BA Law or equivalent), and must not yet have completed their LLB degree.

However, candidates who are in the process of completing their LLB degree will still be considered).

Employees must be based in Cape Town

– Understand key business drivers and proactively seeks out opportunities and recommend solutions that can be effectively supported.
– Willingness to learn and develop their skills
– Passionately strives to achieve results;
– Energetic and high level of dedication.
– Strong knowledge of various cultures and the international way of doing business.

– Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; Spanish / French are a big plus.
