AMC Classic: Telephone Collections Clerk
AMC Classic is looking for a Telephone Collections Clerk to work in the debtors division contacting debtors with outstanding balances to facilitate payment of their accounts. Applicants must be literate and have at least two years experience. If you have what it takes, apply @ YOUTH VILLAGE.
AMC Classic is a direct seller of high quality stainless steel cookware, based in the southern suburbs of Cape Town. We’re looking for a Telephone Collections Clerk to work in our debtors division contacting debtors with outstanding balances to facilitate payment of their accounts. This also involves identifying queries and follow ups on accounts, tracing debtors and meeting targeted calls per month.
The ideal candidate will be
- literate,
- have 2-3 years debt collection experience,
- a professional telephone manner
- experience negotiating and making payment arrangements with debtors
- administrative experience
- able to learn new systems
- computer literate
- able to speak, read and write English and Afrikaans
- has good attention to detail
- remains calm under pressure
- is able to take initiative
- has good interpersonal skills
- can communicate well verbally
- is able to follow instructions
It would be an advantage if a candidate could:
- speak an additional official South African language
- had 2-3 years tracing skills
Candidates must be honest and must not be disqualified from working in a credit granting environment in terms of s46 of the NCA (so not convicted of fraud or theft or insolvent).
Overtime is occasionally required in the position.
