Vacancy: Desktop Support Technician
One of our clients requires Junior Desktop Support Technicians in Cape Town, for a 9 month contract which could be extended should candidates perform well.Candidates will deal with issues concerning telephone, email, instant messaging i.e. answer, enter/log and facilitate all service request(s) entering the enterprise service desk from all internal/external touch points within the company
Job Experience:
- 1 year experience in Customer Support or Service Environment (Desirable)
- 1 – 2 years’ experience in Information Technology Industry (Desirable)
Education:
- Matric/Grade 12 (Essential)
Any Information Technology diploma/degree/certificate (Desirable)
Key Accountabilities
- To monitor relevant workgroup.
- Ensure all client requests are entered/logged in call logging system.
- Ensure that all information supplied by client is captured precisely in call logging system and client is allocated a reference number.
- Maintain constant feedback on all client requests.
- Ensure constant dialog within the area as well as facilitate escalations to technician senior or line management.
- Achieve all agreed activities/targets within the respective service level agreement as stipulated in the scope of contract with Vodacom.
- Adhere to all internal work flow processes stipulated within the enterprise service desk.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Conform to all client security policies
Perform remote support
Job Knowledge:
- Knowledge of customer helpdesk/service desk call center environment.
- Knowledge of information technology.
- Knowledge of mobile communications.
