Fashion Internship Opportunity At Zando

We are looking for an individual with a love for fashion that wants to do a paid internship to get great exposure from South Africa’s leading fashion e-tailer. This internship will be based in our Studio for 6 months in a fun workspace surrounded by young, dynamic and driven people. This role combines creativity and commercial thinking.

Key Performance Areas and Responsibilities:   Assist and support the Stylist and Photography Team with preparation prior to a shoot:

• Attain shooting schedule for the following day.
• Assist with requesting and managing accessories and apparel for following days shoot.
• Assist with prepping all garments ensuring they are steamed and ready to be shot.

Support the Stylist and Photography Team with styling in Studio:

• Quality check the garments before the shoot.
• Assist where required in styling models for shoot.

Assist and support the Stylist and Photography Team post shoot:

• Assist with folding and returning accessories and apparel to warehouse.
• Take garments that is in need of colour correcting to the Photoshop department.
• Manage safe-keeping of products after shoots.

 Essential skills, behaviour and knowledge required:

• Passionate and knowledgeable about international and local fashion trends.
• Good understanding of local commercial fashion retail market.
• Ability to adhere to strict deadlines, work under pressure and take direction.
• Highly organized and the ability to prioritize work.
• Detail consciousness.
• Problem solving ability.
• Ability to think strategically and commercially.
• Ability to work in a team.

 Education and experience:

• Grade 12 (Senior Certificate – high school qualification) / RPL at same level
• Tertiary education in the field of fashion design and retail would be advantageous
