The Music business does get personal!
Phum’ubatshele! If reading that doesn’t get you dancing inside just a bit then you my friend need to start listening to the best of our local musical talent.
Not overlooking the stir over his HIV status, Mr. Cashtime has made a firm name for himself with the release of the hit track CaraCara. Easily becoming one of the most played songs on our radio stations; CaraCara proves that making music for the people about things they relate to is the simplest way to get a crowd dancing.
K.O moved from celebrating being #1 on several music countdown playlists to highlighting the seriousness behind knowing your status. The entertainment world becomes a cruel business when one is pushed to post videos on social media to prove their negative status; we’ve totally lost the plot! Come on people, leave the man’s personal life alone and let’s dance to his music I mean, who wouldn’t dance to such greatness?
Ohk, on a lighter note…Nyovest, Nyovest, Nyovest!!! The album we’ve ALL been waiting for is finally here, well almost. 10 years in the making ‘Tsholofelo’ titled after his younger sister will be available in stores from the 31st of July. Cassper’s sister, Tsholofelo gave him her last R100 before he made his way from Mahikeng to Johannesburg to start his musical career. I guess a little money and determination does go a long way after all.
With hits like Gusheshe and everyone’s favourite at the moment Doc Shebeleza being on this album one can only imagine how great it will be. I guarantee you it’s worth putting your money on! I’ll be at Musica on the 31st for my copy, will you be there too?
I bet even AKA will get it on iTunes! Haha…
