9 Things not to wear to an interview

So you’ve got the call and now you need to convince them you’re the one. Though it’s about what you say, what you wear plays a bigger role because is the first impression that speaks first. Here’s what not to wear that would make them turn you away before you even speak:

Too much jewelry: too much bangles are too loud, too many rings will make you look like a gangster. Keep it at a minimum, the less the better.

 
A hat: Hats are likely to hide your face or distract attention to your head, it also creates the impression that you are trying to hide your face which is where the interviewer will be looking all the time.Just like they were inappropriate at school, so are they in the corporate world, they are highly unprofessional.

 
Jeans: Unless you’re being interviewed for a job in construction or carpentry, wearing jeans is inappropriate. Rather be over dressed than underdressed.

Clothes that don’t fit: Your clothes should not be too tight nor too loose, you don’t want to look like a you squeezed into that tress nor do you want to look like a slob in clothes that are hanging on your body instead of fitting right.

 
Graphic t-shirts: AS much we love our printed t-shirts with catchy writing wearing them to an interview isn’t a good idea, you don’t what to give your potential employer the idea that you don’t take thing seriously.

 
Sunglasses on your head or earphones hanging around your neck: While you may have used these on your way to the venue, remove all these before you enter the venue for a professional undistracted look.

 
Too big earrings: Men should not wear any earrings at all, ladies should keep them small, the last thing is to have huge earrings swinging on your years while you try explaining why you’re the best person for the job.

 
Wrinkled and stained clothes: Prepare the night before the interview to avoid glitches like electricity going out on the morning of the interview.

Strong aftershaves, perfumes and colognes: Most people are allergic to certain scents , so use subtle amounts instead.
