2014 a big year for Mafikizolo
It has been quite a Mafikizolo year in terms of recognition for the great work ethic when putting their latest album together, Reunited. Nominations came in from different award ceremonies and in different categories. The most category in which they dominated in was that of the ‘best group’. Such competition for Mi casa and Liquid deep, who have been doing pretty well in their absence. But Mafikizolo came back with a bang after the break they had focusing on their own solo careers. This was totally unexpected from them, not to mention the sound.
They are now not recognized in the continent but internationally as well. They have the BET awards 2014 nomination to show for it. They are nominated for Best International Act: Africa. Together with Ghanaian hip hop artist Sarkodie and Nigerian singer-songwriter Tiwa Savage they will perform as part of the “Music Around the Globe” presentation on Saturday afternoon during the BET Experience at L.A. LIVE presented by Coca-Cola®.
