Cat hides under car bonnet for four days
A cat was hiding under the bonnet of his owner’s car for four days, including during an MOT at a local garage.
A cat hid under a car bonnet for four days.
Oliver decided to snuggle under the hood of his owner’s Mercedes Benz Sprinter van for a nap but didn’t emerge again until nearly a week later, and after the vehicle had been serviced by mechanics.
Oliver’s owner, Clare Waterfield, had taken the motorhome to get checked over by her local garage, and despite mechanics carrying out maintenance such as changing the oil, they still didn’t spot the furry pet.
But when the van returned home, Mrs. Waterfield’s other cat Benji began sniffing at the bonnet and the sound of a faint meow was heard.
Mrs. Waterfield told the Metro newspaper: “He smelt a bit oily but was otherwise fine. We’re relieved to have him back.”
