Production Assistant Opportunity At Root360

Root360 is a small, specialist design agency based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. We are looking for a junior to mid production assistant to join our team.

You will need experience in a BTL agency previously working in production. You will work closely with the traffic and production manager, client service team, designers and printers to ensure smooth and successful delivery of projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, scheduling, assigning and coordinating creative work for the creative team
• Responsible for the delivery/trafficking of projects that come through the business.
• Ensure that creatives have all of the information required in order to produce high-quality work
• Checking artwork once design is completed
• Assist with admin, couriers and other ad-hoc office duties
• Keep a close eye on all project deadlines to ensure that the project is delivered on time.
• Distribute work to the necessary parties for sign-off
• Assist in sourcing quotes and/or samples if needed
• Take part in status meetings with the team
• Assist designers with time-keeping of projects to ensure billing is kept in order
• Checking artwork/items which have come back from production before delivery to client

Skills and requirements:

• Two to three years’ experience having worked in production within a BTL agency
• Experience with print
• Superb interpersonal skills
• Great sense of humour
• Excellent organisation and administration skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Process-driven, with thorough understanding of the design and creative process
• Planning skills, deadline-driven
• Pro-active thinker who can envisage problem areas and seek solutions
