SEO Content Writer Internship

Job description

Fleet Street Publications (FSP), one of South Africa’s largest online and print subscription-based natural health, business-to-business and investment publishers, is looking for SEO online writers who can write on a variety of topics for over 300,000 readers every day!

And we’re running a three-month, in-house internship to help you do that.

What we want from you?

* To digest and repurpose the 1,000s of views out there into useful, actionable articles.
* To write a daily minimum of 15 search engine optimised articles for our relevant websites.
* To identify keywords and trending topics to write around for our business areas.
* To proof and edit your own work for accuracy, grammar and style.
* To upload your articles to each of the sites.

What will FSP offer you?

We’ll give you the tools and training to:

* Write a compelling, persuasive online article every 36 minutes.
* Become a specialised writer in the fields of investment, Natural Health, Fitness and Business-to-Business.
* Opportunity to write your own reports, books and other publications on your specialised topic.

Qualification requirements:

* A BA Degree in languages, journalism or related profession from a recognised tertiary institution.
* Two years’ experience in journalism/news editing in a pressurised, fast, multimedia environment.

Skills:

* Excellent English – written and spoken
* Knowledge of SEO
* Proven copy editing skills
* Good communication skills
* Proficiency in relevant computer software packages and applications
* Ability to work under pressure and adhere to real-time deadlines
* Time management

Writing task: Look at our three websites (www.fsphealth.co.za, www.fspinvest.co.zaand www.fspbusiness.co.za) and write a 300-400 word, SEO-rich, news-worthy article on a topic that one of the websites cover. Make sure you emulate the personal, advisory style you currently see on the sites.
