Pearl Thusi Has An Important Question Regarding Mother’s Day. This past Sunday, mothers all over the world were celebrated, since it was Mother’s Day. Even here in South Africa social media went abuzz with beautiful tributes for mothers doing an amazing job.
The day is also a sad reminder though, to those whose mothers have passed on. It’s always a mixture of emotions, wishing that your mother was still alive so you could celebrate them in person. It was even worse for Oscar Mbo, who got to bury his mother, on Mother’s Day. Another celebrity, Nonhle Thema also recently lost her mother, Cynthia Shange.
As someone who has lost her mom years ago, Pearl Thusi can relate. She took to Instagram to ask those in the same situation as hers, what they do on Mother’s Day. The celebrated media personality, DJ, actress and entrepreneur shared that she thinks of her mother constantly, and every now and then visits her grave. Having pointed that out, she however, sees no point in celebrating Mother’s Day. Hence why she wonders if the day is for mothers, or it’s for people who celebrate having mothers.
