Florence Masebe Joins Skeem Saam. It’s always exciting when a talented actor joins a hit show. This is the case with Florence Masebe, who has left fans over the moon, as it was announced that she will be joining Skeem Saam.
The veteran award winning actress has been cast to play Meiki Maputla on a temporary basis. Meiki is one of the characters who started with the SABC1 educational drama back in 2011. She is a loyal wife and dedicated mother, who also runs the family supermarket. Meiki is feisty and will do anything to protect her family, even if it means killing someone. We can not think of anyone to continue with this role other than Florence.
Meiki was originally played by another legendary actress, Harriet Manamela. There are reports that, she has to take sick leave, and a temporary replacement had to be sought out. Florence will take over from May 15th, until the end of the season.
“Please note Florence Masebe will temporarily replace Harriet Manamela for the role of Meikie Maputla – from 15 May 2024 until the end of the current season (12). This is due to unforeseen circumstances,” SABC1 announced.
