Dress codes are legal guidelines that an organization uses for their employees and they differ with industries or position you’re at as an individual. Please check with the human resource department or the employee manual for guidelines. Here are some tips to help you are long

Professional wear

  • Safety and hygiene. Protective clothing such as steel-toed boots, helmet, hairnets, clean nails, non-flammable uniforms.
  • Keep your hair and makeup simple. Do not have 3 or 4 colours on your hair and keep your make-up as simple as possible because that will make look natural
  • Health. Prevent harm from bacteria and germs.
  • Keep everything neat. You should dress neatly, cleanly and conservatively. Iron out any wrinkles, tuck in your shirt and don’t wear anything stained or ripped.
  • Identification. For service and assistance, identifiable.

  • Cover piercings and tattoos. Your human resources job will require you to represent your company or organization to lots of people, and some executives could consider visible piercings or tattoos unprofessional or too edgy. Keep ear piercings simple, take out any facial or tongue piercings and cover tattoos with long sleeves or pants
  • Image. Conservative, honest, efficient.
  • Keep it clean. A V-neck sweater or blouse is fine, but don’t wear skirts that are too short, necks that are too low, or anything that is see-through or overly tight.
