DIGBY WELLS ENVIRONMENTAL FAUNA AND FLORA INTERN
Digby Wells Environmental, a service provider to the resources industry, is looking for a candidate for the above position in our Randburg. The succesful candidate will be required to provide expert advice and assistance in the management and compilation of reports such as Biodiversity Assessments, Action plans, and EMPs.
Job Objectives:
•Study and identify the different organisms on site.
•Conduct field surveys to collect data and keep track of different organisms and research about them.
•Classifying the organisms according to their species and characteristics (taxonomy).
•Apply sampling strategies and employ habitat survey techniques GPS, aerial photography, sonar images, and maps etc.
•Conduct and manage assessments as part of a project such as (Fauna and Flora and Biodiversity assessments etc.)
•Compile and review reports for submission to client and/or legal authorities.
•Project, client and public management
Requirements:
•Specialists knowledge of Fauna and Flora
•Environmental Management
•Project management
•Detailed understanding of applicable environmental legislation
•Research methodologies
•Knowledge of land management would be advantageous
•Understanding of Biodiversity Action Plans
Qualifications: BS degree (MS preferred) in related field
