Robert Marawa Claps Back at Department of Military Veterans Twitter Page Admin

Robert Marawa Claps Back at Department of Military Veterans Twitter Page Admin. Almost every government department in the country has an active social media page. This helps with brand awareness, engaging with the public as well as passing information among other things.

We do have organizations who are well known for using their social media platforms to share humor. One such is Nandos, where some of their ads are based on recent events. The food outlet takes such incidents, add some humor and create an ad. Having noted that though, some organizations should just stick to being all formal on social media.

Why do we say so? Just a couple of days ago, Robert Marawa shared a short clip of military vehicles on Twitter. He the curiously asked what was the occasion. Well some of his followers were generous with information, telling him that it’s in preparation for the Armed Forces Day, which will take place on the 21st of February.

The Department of Military Veterans could have seized the opportunity to educate the public even more about the upcoming event. Instead, they decided to take a swipe at Marawa mocking him for not knowing about the event.

It’s always unfortunate when South Africans don’t know about government events that take place annually across the country,” the department responded.

This did not sit well with Marawa who clapped back hard at the department. Another personality Sello Maake KaNcube also chipped in calling the department’s response inappropriate.

Your useless lecture about “unfortunate” holds no water!! I lost interest in govt activities the day government became corrupt and self-serving!! Clean up ur act and ur image and we will show interest once again. A simple question was asked “What’s cooking..??” Enjoy the 21st,” Marawa said.
