Masasa Mbangeni Reveals she is Not Part of Mzali Wam Season II and The Reason Why. The second season of Mzali Wam is here, and we are here for all the drama. The Mzansi Magic season I series, was a hit as it shed light on kidnapping and human trafficking syndicates. Viewers are pleased that another season is coming, with some new faces of course.

Sadly one of the lead actresses on the show, Masasa Mbangeni won’t be making a comeback. The award winning actress played the role of Joyce, who got entangled in a human trafficking situation which her biological mother is unknowingly a part of at first. All the events that follow make Joyce realize that Ntokozo is her child and is reunited with her long lost daughter. The first season ended with Ntokozo learning the truth about what really happened to her as a child.

Due to other engagements, Masasa won’t be returning to carry on the role. This is because, she was shooting season II of The Republic the same time Mzali Wam season II, was shooting. Joyce will be now played by Lusanda Mbane. The award winning talented actress, is famously known for playing Boniswa on e.tv’s Scandal! a character was killed off, after winning viewers hearts.

“Sadly I’m not a part of Mzali Wam as I was shooting The Republic and couldn’t commit to both but I’m looking forward to watching with everyone else! See you then xx,” Masasa answered a fan who was looking forward to seeing her on the show.
