The selected candidate will supervise the safe and cost-effective execution of all production work ensuring the achievement of production and quality targets as well as ensure SHEQ compliance and customer satisfaction. Further areas of focus include supervising the team, ensuring an enabling climate/culture, conducting career discussions, handling all production processes, prioritising breakdowns and completing all relevant reports.

The selected candidate will hold a relevant N6 Certificate coupled with a Degree or Diploma and complete functional assessment. A minimum of 3 years’ power plant experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience will be required, as will SAP experience and computer literacy. HR SAP, MES and IMS knowledge would prove useful.

The incumbent will maintain and/or repair low and high level mechanical parts, components and equipment. This will include completing breakdown work ordersand creating notifications on SA, applying fault finding techniques, maintenance on crushers, conveyors, mechanical drives and screens, and conducting regular plant inspections.

Candidates must have Grade 12/N3, a relevant Trade Test certifcate and at least 3 years’ relevant experience.

The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:

The successful candidate will identify, plan and schedule maintenance shutdown work and maintain Master Data on the CCMS. This will include building a competent and motivated work team, capturing, updating and maintaining maintenance plans on GSAP, creating work orders and allocating the task lists. Checking material availability, releasing planned work and monitoring the forward workload, estimating work orders and contractor management will also be required.

The ideal candidate will have N6, be a qualified artisan, have planningexperience on SAP and atleast 1 year’s experience in a similar position. the ability to read and understand hydraulic and mechanic drawings is important.

The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:
