Dr Malinga Shoots Back After Being Associated With ANC. Quite a number of our celebrities are very open about the political parties they support. Most even get gigs at rallies, and their public status is used to lure in new supporters, and help keep the existing ones.

Just like the rest of the voters, these personalities sometimes change their minds regarding the parties they follow. We have the likes of Ntando Duma, Pearl Thusi and so many others, who used to endorse the African National Congress, but now are singing a different tune. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, as a number of factors affect one’s decision on politics.

Another celebrity who seem to have dumped the ruling party, ANC, is Dr Malinga. The award winning musician and entrepreneur used to perform at ANC events, rocking outfits in the party colors. One of his most memorable events is performing at an ANC celebration party after their virtory in the 2014 national elections. The event took place in Johannesburg CBD, and in attendance were party happy supporters. Taking thing a notch up Dr Malinga released his politically driven single ANC Ramaphosa in February 2019.

One social media, dug out a throwback picture of Dr Malinga in his element at an ANC event. He rocked his signature high waist shorts, decorated with ANC logo. Captioning the picture, the tweep said, “During election time next year, Dr Malinga will be like “Wadijaja?”

To which he responded, “Never.”
