“When You Are Angry, Be Silent,” Lynn Forbes. Since the untimely passing away of her son a year ago, life has never been the same for Lynn Forbes. Just after the funeral Lynn described the loss as the most excruciating pain she has ever felt.
As much as she is grieving, Lynn has been trying her outmost best to live a positive life. She attends events, goes for interviews, motivates people, and travels the world among many other activities. A few months after AKA’s passing Lynn launched Outspoken Owls podcast. For the podcast, she collaboration with Katie Mohamed, executive director of Brandfusion and founder of women empowerment initiative W-Suite. The two ladies candidly discuss their life experiences, provide a fresh way of seeing the world, and make the audience laugh.
Many of Lynn’s followers on Instagram have been waiting to see what she posts in the wake of 6 of AKA’s murder suspects being arrested. They appeared for the first time in court today, with AKA’s father, Tony Forbes and other loved ones in attendance. Lynn took to Instagram, sharing a post that probably explains why he hasn’t said anything about the latest developments on the case.

AKA was gunned down in an alleged hit outside Wish restaurant in Florida Road, Durban. His former manager and long-time friend, Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane, was also killed in the shooting. The multi-award winning rapper, TV personality and entrepreneur left behind his daughter Kairo Forbes, siblings, parents and his girlfriend Nadia Nakai.
