Here’s The 411 On Somizi’s New Reality Show

There’s definitely no doubt that Somizi Mhlongo has the X-Factor. Somizi has certainly made a name for himself in the entertainment industry. It’s arguably thanks to “SomGaga”, as he’s known, that many are calling season 11 the best yet – with overall votes spiking from 24.3 million in season 10, to a whopping 78.8 million. Since then, “Som Som” has become a force to reckon with. Because of his tremendous success, the star will be raising the bar with his own reality show called Living the Dream with Somizi.

Somizi says that the show will be starting soon . “My life is a dream to other people and basically it’s saying that you can live the dream on earth,” he explains.

“It’s about me. What I’m trying to do is show people this does not happen overnight. It’s not about the flamboyant lifestyle, the Louis Vuittons, those are just accessories. But there is an entrepreneur behind Somizi. There’s a businessman behind Somizi. There’s a family man behind Somizi. There’s a father behind Somizi. There’s a breadwinner behind Somizi. There’s a workaholic behind Somizi,” he adds.

Mhlongo is a respected choreographer who has worked with the likes of Ladysmith Black Mambazo and R. Kelly. When he’s not busy with a dance project (he worked on the 2010 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony), he can be seen in social circles and on talk shows as the opinionated “Madame Gigi” – his drag alter-ego.
