Watch! Mo Flava Makes His Acting Debut. The thing about the entertainment industry is that, once your name is out there you can tap into any career within the industry. That is why it is common to see a musician bag hosting gigs, become a media personality as well as venture into acting among other things. Just a few weeks ago, Shauwn Mkhize made her acting debut on SABC1 daily drama, Uzalo. Although a lot may argue that a new face, or a qualified actress should have been given the opportunity, her brief cameo appearance is good for the production and also works for her image as a celebrity.
Back in 2016, award winning rapper, Emtee made his acting debut on SABC2 daily drama Muvhango. He played Melusi a cool‚ humble and down to earth repenting criminal. Lerato Kganyago was also at some point an actress on the show, playing the beautiful, Mmasebotsana. Rhythm City is also one local drama which is famous for constantly having celebrities as part of their cast members. The likes of rapper Reason, Mohale Motaung, Pam Andrews and Kelly Khumalo, are among celebs who have been on the e.tv soapie.
Another celebrity who has been recruited into acting by an upcoming series, is DJ Mo Flava. The musician and media personality is set to make a cameo appearance on the much anticipated series UBethina Wethu. He said although he has no desire to start an acting career, this is one experience that he enjoyed. We definitely can’t wait to see him in our TV screens soon.
“Here’s a snippet.Did my first ever cameo appearance in a drama series other day,as myself ofcos. I have no desire to start an acting career,but I enjoyed the experience. Didn’t know playing Moflava would be so hard ?,” he said.
