Shop Assistant and Cashier Opportunity at Clicks De Aar

Clicks Group is recruiting a Shop Assistant and Cashier for its De Aar store. This permanent position falls within the FMCG and retail sector and supports the company’s focus on service excellence. This position places you at the centre of customer interaction. You manage point of sale activities, support merchandising standards, and help create a positive in-store experience. Your role directly influences customer satisfaction, repeat visits, and daily store performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute all point of sale activities efficiently and accurately
• Scan merchandise correctly and process customer payments
• Handle cash safely and follow all cash control procedures
• Promote the Clicks ClubCard and enroll new members
• Inform customers about promotions to drive sales
• Deliver friendly and professional service as a brand ambassador
• Maintain merchandising standards and general housekeeping
• Stay informed on products, ranges, promotions, and store events

Knowledge Requirements

• Basic mathematics calculations
• Understanding of retail or FMCG environments
• Knowledge of merchandising and promotion principles

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 qualification
