Dr Nandipha Magudumana Said to Have Fainted Ahead of Court Appearance

Dr Nandipha Magudumana Said to Have Fainted Ahead of Court Appearance. It’s court day today for Thabo Bester, Dr Nandipha Magudumana, her father Zolile Cornelius Sekeleni and other nine co- accused in the Thabo Bester case.

The 12 face charges related to the escape of Bester, a convicted rapist and murderer, from a Mangaung prison last year. Nine of the accused have been granted bail by different courts, while Bester and another accused abandoned their bids. Dr Magudumana was sadly denied bail a couple of weeks ago. According to magistrate Estelle de Lange she failed to satisfy the court that the interests of justice permit her release on bail.

Dr Nandipha who normally appears to court looking all beautiful is allegedly feeling unwell today. Addressing the media, her lawyer Machini Motloung sad that Magudumana collapsed at the Park Road Police Station’s holding cells in Bloemfontein and was on the floor. He labeled the treatment as inhumane. This allegedly comes after her not being well of suspected food poisoning. Her legal team alleges that arrangements were made for the accused to appear virtually because she’s not feeling well, but apparently, she was put in a van and forced to come to court.

The case has thus started without her. In new developments, the state has withdrawn charges against other accused, Anastasia Jansen, Thabang Mier and Moeketsi Ramulula. Many are calling for Jansen to be reinstated back at her G4s job because of she is innocent in the whole thing.
