Junior Designer Wanted At BOO! Media

Job description

 Purpose:

• To work closely with the production manager- Johannesburg (PM) of the business to manage the design and mock-up process of the business
• To perform office and admin related duties
• To fundamentally participate in and contribute to the growth of BOO! Media as a business
• The role involves working across the both the Airport Media and BOO! Media portfolio

Design and mock up duties

• Manage and streamline the graphic design requirements within both BOO! Media and Airport Media, i.e. including but not limited to mock-ups, invitations, name tags, cards, signage for the office, email signatures, business cards, etc.
• The average client proposal will require a ratio of approximately 10 mock ups
• You will be required to complete an average of 40 mock ups per week, depending upon the scale of the client proposal and sales team requirements
• Mock-ups may vary between existing with creative’s superimposed/manipulated onto the photos and new sites with creative’s to look as realistic as possible

Photo taking duties

• Professional photo taking is a requirement of the business with a new site / creative
• A thorough knowledge of the BOO! Johannesburg sites will be a requirement in order to take facilitate the taking of the photos

Office and admin duties

• Telephone duties will include the answering of unattended calls
• Managing stationery and grocery requirements
• Managing the printer requirements
• Managing the office maintenance

General

• Deliveries from time to time to O.R.T International Airport and agencies/clients when required

Requirements

• Must be proficient in Adobe, specifically Photoshop
• A Diploma or Post Graduate education in graphic design will be advantageous
• Must have a good eye for design
• Must have a good understanding of Microsoft Office- Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Two to three years’ working experience
• Own transport essential
