“Doing Leading Man Things,” Lunga Shabalala On His New Role. About a month ago, he was trending for a failed relationship. Now it is heartwarming to see Lunga Shabalala making news for bagging roles one news shows.

The TV personality and actor recently bagged a role playing Tebogo in Love, Sex & 30 Candles. The Netflix movie takes us into the lives of four best friends in their 30’s as they navigate relationships, heartbreak and a shocking situation that threatens to tear them apart. Love, Sex & 30 Candles also stars Candice Modiselle, Amo Chidi, Gabisile Tshabalala, Bahumi Mhlongo and Loyiso MacDonald.

Another Netflix series has snatched Lunga, and he plays lead. He has been cast in the upcoming young adult series called, Miseducation. The story follows Mbali Hadebe, played by Buntu Petse, who finds herself on the cancelled list after the police raids her house and seize her family’s assets. This is all because of her mother, Brenda Hadebe’s (Baby Cele) corrupt political dealings. Embarrassed and with her tail between her legs, Mbali runs to Grahamstown University in Makhanda, where she strives to reinvent herself and escape her mother’s corrupt legacy.

Mbali is running an SRC campaign inspired by Lunga’s character Sivu Levine. The hottie is against veteran president, longtime campus activist, Caesar (played by Mpho Sebeng) and Mubarak (played by Ebenhazer Dibakwane).

Miseducation will drop on the 15th of September, and currently the actors are doing media runs. Lunga is among the actors involved in the series activation. He also posts a lot about it, making viewers look forward to the series even more.

“Doing leading man things,” Lunga said.
