He made a thread on Twitter about how his stand on homophobic jokes. Although he did not mention any names, it is quite clear that he was sending a message to someone prominent.

I didn’t wanna rant, I want it to be known that because I’m straight and play a gay characters on TV it does not mean we can crack vile and homophobic jokes cos we are real men, please keep your distance from me if homosexuality makes you feel some type of way,it’s that simple.
