Nandi took to social media to share her great news, saying What a way to ring in the new year! I’ll be hosting the first-ever edition of AFROPUNKFEST in Africa on 30 and 31 December 2017.”

AFROPUNK also shared the news, tweeting, “We’re excited to announce that Nandi Madida will host AFROPUNK Joburg 2017!” Nandi also made history earlier this year when she became the first African to host the American leg of the festival in Brooklyn, New York.
