1. Pearl Thusi
The radio and TV personality is in a lot of people’s bad books after making a comment about Trevor Noah. Pearl posted a publicity picture of Trevor on her Instagram page with the caption: “Ladies and gents… a guy I don’t really like but am unbelievably proud of. Thank you for showing us all the limitless possibilities that we all have if we apply ourselves. I wish you all the strength, blessings and success. Go Trevor go (sic).” The post was flooded with negative reactions as fans wrote their disappointment in Pearl.
Sfiso Ncwane
The gospel star has definitely had a rough two weeks, which has just taken a turn for the worse. He took to Instagram to warn fans of a scam that is doing the rounds using his name. Sfiso explained that scammers are trying to rob artists out of money with promises to perform at the Mafuce Festival with him.
3. AKA
Rapper Cassper Nyovest accused the ‘All Eyes On Me’ hitmaker of using drugs in his ‘diss’ track titled ‘Dust2Dust’ which he dropped on Friday. Cassper says that the use of drugs has ruined a lot of things for AKA including his relationship with baby momma DJ Zinhle.
4. Zahara
Zahara was preparing to release her third studio album, Country Girl, and predicted piracy might be a battle she would have to face. And what do you know, she did get disappointed. Well, the threat was real, and street sellers rushed to make copies of the gold-selling album for people to buy.
5. Xhosa King Dalindyebo
The king was convicted in the Mthatha High Court of crimes including arson‚ assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm‚ culpable homicide and defeating the ends of justice in 2010. He was sentenced to an effective 15 years in prison. He appealed the case to the Supreme Court of Appeal hoping to escape jail in its entirety. The sentence was instead replaced with one of 12 years.
