10 Things you didn’t know About Brenda Ngxoli
Who’s this girl? It’s the talented gorgeous Brenda Ngxoli of course! This lady is just one of a kind , she is South Africa’s best and she keeps on growing strong in the industry. Brenda is fun and full of charisma. We love her and South Africa loves her too. Remember the Polka advert, where she said “see-rri-ous”? Who would ever forget that? I mean really? Where have you been?
This girl is dynamite and she is the real deal. There’s more to her, so we’ve decided to make a list of things that you should know about her.
1. Brenda Ngxoli was nominated for an International Emmy award for her Home Affairs role in 2007.
2. Many people consider her to be one of (if not, The) most talented and versatile actresses that the African continent has ever produced.
3. Brenda Ngxoli presents Mzansi Wethu’s show, Our Perfect Wedding.
4. She played her role as Vuyo in the SABC1 drama series Home Affairs, from 2005-2007
5. Ngxoli completed a BA Theatre and Performers Diploma in Speech and Drama at the University of Cape Town in 2000.
6. In 2010 she was named as one of the new presenters of the SABC1 celebrity gossip show The Real Goboza for the show’s fourth season, alongside Phat Joe.
7. Besides being on TV, Brenda does Public speaking, motivational talks and facilitates workshops on issues such as business proposal writing and health etc.
8. Brenda began her acting career in theatre, performing in shows like Pick Ups directed by Chris Weare, Docs Wife, I-Klips and Sacred Thorn and Yes Medem, both of which were directed by Warona Seane and ran the Grahamstown Festival of the Arts in 2004.
9. She has appeared in television commercials for Compral, MTN and Polka.
10. Brenda made her directing debut in 2004 when she directed Through Thick and Thin by Khanyi Magubane at the Market Theatre.
