“I’m Proud She Gets Some Audience Members so Irate,” Brenda Ngxoli on Playing Noma Princess

“I’m Proud She Gets Some Audience Members so Irate,” Brenda Ngxoli on Playing Noma Princess. Her versatility has allowed her to play so many different roles in a number of shows. Over the years we have seen Brenda Ngxoli play a tomboy, a bitter sister in law and a rich businesswoman among so many roles.

In 2020, the multi award winning actress and TV personality bagged her ever first role in a telenovela. Brenda was cast to play NomaPrincess ‘Noma’ Matshikiza on The Queen, who came into the scene with a multi million-rand debt she owed Harriet. Back in the day, the two were buddies, with a friendship dating back to their Hillbrow days. They have since settled their past misunderstandings and went on to become business partners and close again.

Although her character is much loved, there are some people who are not feeling the whole Noma Princess vibe. The accent that Brenda uses for the role, has many dismissing it as fake, and that she is trying too much. Brenda normally doesn’t address this kind of criticism, but she has decided to finally say her peace. She credits herself as an actress, who has never carried the same character from production to production.

As some people react negatively to the Noma Princess character, Brenda is not surprised. However, she is proud that the character gets some audience members so irate.

Once again I’m delivering a character that moves, sparks commentary and evokes emotion. After All what’s the point of creating art,” Brenda said.
