I See No Change By Molebogeng Wa Maunatlala

I woke up, in the midst of the winter night;
I start posing questions unto I.
Change isn’t yet arrived,

Hopefully is coming.
Are we welcome where we are?

If yes,

Why do we continue to go to school with outdated books?

Why do we continue to sleep with nothing in our tummies?

Why do we continue to see our people dying of pendermic diseases?

Why do we continue to be jobless?

I see no change, though, they claim the monster has died in 1994.

I see no change, the three threats: Unemployment, Inequality and poverty ;
Never stop to hit you where it hurt most.

I see no change, brutal laws are passed to shield the haves.

I see no change, though, new acronyms are coined every seconds.

Do their psyche function properly?
Are these what they fought for?

Where is better life for all?

Apparently, we are sold.
Similarly, to gold.
Roughly, it’s how we are treated.
Politically, we are weak.
Realistically, we are bonehead.
Seemingly, nothing better could ever done.

Africa rose beyond
Slavery,
Colonialism,
Imperialism.

So, we could get up beyond this,
Psuedo democracy.
