Maseve Mine Internship Programme

Introduction

Maseve Mine under the management of Platinum Group Metals is contributing towards skills development and job creation by providing opportunities to the unemployed graduates. The mine is inviting applications for the internship programme that runs for a period of twelve (12) months.

Requirements

Interns are required in the following fields:
• Mining (2) – BSc/ National Diploma in Mining (Ref: 2014/01)
• Mechanical Engineering (1) BSc/National Diploma Mechanical/ Engineering (Ref: 2014/02)
• Electrical Engineering (1) BSc/National Diploma Electrical Engineering (Ref: 2014/03)
• Safety (1) National Diploma in Safety Management (Ref: 2014/04)
• Risk (1) National Diploma in Safety (specialise in Risk Management) (Ref: 2014/05)
• Mining Survey (2) BSc/National Diploma in Survey/Engineering Survey (Ref: 2014/06)
• Construction (1) National Diploma in Construction (Ref: 2014/07)

Competencies required:

Communication skills (verbal and written); computer skills, creativity and ability to work independently and as a team. Application letters must be accompanied by a detailed CV stating the business Unit, field of study and reference number.

How to Apply?

NOTE: Applications without CV‘s will not be accepted. Hand written CV’s must be completed in block letters, if not your application will not be accepted. If you apply for more than one field of study, you must please submit a different/separate application for each. All applications must be submitted at Maseve Lion Park before the closing date.

NB: This is not the reopening of submission of CVs but rather it is specific to the Internship Programme. It is the sole responsibility of the applicant to ensure that their application (s) is at the Maseve Lion Park Offices before the closing date. Late applications will not be processed. Certified copies of qualifications must be included in your application(s). The mine reserves the right not to fill any particular position. Correspondence will be limited to shortlisted candidates only. If you do not hear from us within 4 weeks of the closing date, please accept that your application was unsuccessful. Applicants are also requested to duly complete their ID numbers, name and surname information on the CVs.

Only South African citizens will be considered. Shortlisted candidates will be subjected to an interview to determine their competencies and suitability.
