The Rise Of A New Dawn By Rebone Masemola

THE RISE OF A NEW DAWN (PHENOMENAL WOMAN) I am a woman….
Living during a time of war
A war between my mind and my body
As I fiercely fight to see another day

To resolve my internal conflict

I had fought to find my voice
To solidify the ground that had vanished beneath me To find a new sense of
self An eternity had passed As I struggled to find pieces of my former glory
To restore peace from the broken pieces As i seek to restore the woman in me
To amend my shattered self-esteem

I sought to be in a new place in my life Where i can raise my voice and
stand my ground To find a place where I can stand without fear of sinking
Where I know failure is not the end, but the start of a new beginning A
place where I can embrace my insecurities And dance to my own tune

I needed a new beginning
A new sense of worth
New motivation, to hope for a new season To create my own vision, to have a
sense of entitlement To hope for a better day

Because I am a woman with passion, a passion to become a better being A
woman with a sense of entitlement, One with ambitions bigger than my hips I
am a phenomenal woman I am more than just my mother’s daughter I am a
sister, an advice and a role model I am more than just a dreamer with
ambitions bigger than my hips I am a phenomenal being

I am more than just the reflection in the mirror Nor the shadows in the dark
More than just a busy body Or the clothes I put on I am living phenomena

I live to aspire to inspire others
Because the world’s perceptions of me do not define me I give life a new
meaning Because I am a phenomenal woman
