The Heart In Me By NONHLANHLA DLAMINI

Closing the chapter: The heart in me

It wasn’t me but the heart in me
I surely would have known, but not the heart in me
Yes I would have walked away but the heart in me refused
Now here I am with the heart in me *rising again*

Just when I was peacefully enjoying mylife, you decide to show up
Caring and simple as I am I decided to welcome you
Charming and wonderful as you are, u decided to use that to your best interest.
All the tricks you learned, you decided to test them on me
With the truth in your heart, you decided to string me along
May be you win and I loose, but life goes on an so I’ll live

Let’s clean the record:
So much I’m bruised, for so well you presented your love but failed to love me
So hard I tripped, for you made me fall for you but failed to catch me
Not being a creator but I thought I could create, for you made me believe my truth, *love*, your lies.
Us in the future, I saw, for you made me believe that
Yes so much I still love and care for you, because you made it all look so real.
Carelessly you walked away, and left me crippled *the heart in me*
*heart in me walk away, true love is to come*

I was so ready to blame it all on you, but I realised…*it’s not you but the heart in me*
*so much pain, disappointment, confusion, teary smile* that’s not me but the heart in me

Just so you know:
It’s the heart in me that you hurt, not me.
It might not be able to face tomorrow, but I will.
Now I invite you to watch as I rise
Tomorrow I *the heart in me* will find love
